Ireland & Scotland Tours with Kitty
Launched over a decade ago, the Inishfree Irish Music Tours grow more popular every year and often sell out many months ahead of their scheduled dates.
Now there are tours to Scotland, also quickly gaining popularity.
Here’s the info on joining us in Ireland and/or Scotland in 2023
These trips are designed to be small and intimate ~ no mega busses here!
The Inishfree trips top out at 24 people and the Scotland Folk Tours at 15.
Ireland ~ this next summer’s tour will be the Northern route, visiting counties Donegal, Mayo and Clare. We’ll spend three days & nights in each county (no throwing your suitcase on the bus every morning) with wonderful new friends. Possible day trips may include visiting Achill Island, the Cliffs of Moher, Londonderry (Northern Ireland), Galway, sheep dog trials, and of course, wonderful live Irish music every night. Closer to the dates we’ll get more specific information on the day trips.
Inishfree Irish Music Tours prides itself on being ‘tours for people who hate tours’ so if you just don’t feel like going on a day trip or an evening out, you don’t have to. Really, it’s fine.
Prices for 2023 (9 tour days) are $2,750 per person in a shared room; $3,250 for a single room. (Limited availability). What’s covered are all accomodations, all breakfasts, three group dinners, all entry fees for museums, castles, events, etc. What is NOT covered is your flight, other meals and souvinirs.
Scotland ~ the tour I’m leading is again the Beyond the Tartan tour which includes starting in Edinburgh with Fiona, our wonderful guide who will lead us on hikes all over this amazing city. We may see the coffee shop where JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter, Edinburgh Castle, countless magical little shops and bookstores, possibly a Ceilidh (trad Scottish group dance) and other amazing sights. Then we head up in a bus to the Isle of Skye (fairy pools, whiskey distillery) and on to the Highlands, staying in the beautiful city of Inverness.
Prices for 2023 (for 10 days) are $3,000 per person in a shared room; $3,500 for a single. As above, the fee covers all accomodations, breakfasts, 3 group dinners, all entry fees and live music. NOT covered is your flight to Scotland plus getting from Edinburgh Airport to the city (about 8 miles), lunches and souvinirs.
To hold your spot on either trip you need to put down a deposit and will then get invoiced every few months until the trip dates. Email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up.
